Update from the Goat Pen

I thought I would post a quick update from the goat pen.  No baby goats yet!  Charlotte is on day 1-5-2!  But she is still happily exploring her goat pen, gobbling up her food, and enjoying the evening with no signs of bringing her kids into the world yet!

But I did notice a small change which could prove significant!  The "ligaments" near the base of Charlotte's tail have completely disappeared!  I have read a lot of information that says the ligaments disappear when kidding is imminent.  I have been feeling around Charlotte's tail for the past week, but all I could feel were "bones."  Today those bones are GONE!  I never thought something that hard could disappear.  (See Fias Co Farm info on ligaments here.)  God amazingly designed goats to dissolve anything that might be in the way of getting the baby goats out!

Hopefully there will be some baby goats scampering around the goat pen very soon!
